Coaches Highlight - Coach Janelle!

I Crossfit because...

It keeps me healthy physically and mentally. Before I started Crossfit I was a person who just ran on the treadmill or went to cardio classes at the gym. I avoided weightlifting because I didn't want to get "bulky". But I was never happy with the results of this workout schedule and it left me frustrated. The mix of cardio and weightlifting is SO good for me and the competition with myself and others pushes me to work harder and be better. I love coming in, working hard, and seeing results in the form of a PR, a faster time, or learning a new skill. I also love how Crossfit can be a family "outing" for us. My daughter wakes up from her afternoon nap and asks to go to the gym to find daddy and see her friends. It is an hour of the day that we all really enjoy!

I Coach because...

I love talking with a range of people I might not otherwise see or get the chance to chat with in class. I also love being able to help people work through a movement over time and then see it "click" or hit a PR! It gets me excited!

My favorite movements are...

Overhead squats and snatches! Or just quickly cycling a barbell in a workout.

My weakest movements are...

Toes to bar and double unders. For some reason I have a hard time stringing big sets together on both. I'm also a slow runner...

My favorite junk food is...

Ice cream and homemade cookies!!
