Vikki is an amazing athlete although she would never admit it! Her love for CrossFit comes through in her desire to do her best in every workout and she's an inspiration to everyone around her. You will find her in class asking for the "masters" movement, however when she completes the workout - there is nothing 'masters' about her performance. She was a member of CrossFit 563 prior to the merger of our two gyms and we are so lucky to have her! 1.Why did you start crossfitting or fitnessing? I’ve always been active/athletic. I was a competitive swimmer from grade school through high school, so staying active has always been a part of my life. I didn’t find CrossFit, it found me. I was a member at another gym doing similar classes/movements. The gym brought in a trainer who changed classes over to official CrossFit. I have been doing it ever since.2.What do you love most about working out and why do you continue to do it? I love the feeling of completion at the end of a workout! I drag my feet most days getting there but I’m always so glad I made it when it’s over. I think we all have that competitive edge that keeps us coming back; setting a goal and working towards it.3.How has it impacted your life beyond inside the gym? The competitiveness carries through in my work place. It’s about striving to be the best you can be, in the gym or in the work place. Goals, rankings, bonuses, salaries are all dependent on your performance.4. If you NEVER had to do one exercise movement again - what would it be? Hard to say! There are ALOT of movements I don’t like. Guess it would have to be either over head squats or double unders! I’m not good at either5.Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies, goals and life aspirations...AND your favorite food! I have 2 grown children, one in California and one in Chicago. I’ve worked in pharmaceutical sales for over 20years. Love to golf when weather and time permits. My goal in life is to get to retirement, I’m SOOOO close! Yippee! My favorite food is either pizza or lasagna, love them both. (And a good beer).6. What do you love about being a part of our gym? I love the friendships, the family feel you get from the gym. I know if I was in need of anything I could ask for help and find it here. The people who belong here are wonderful people with hearts of gold!
