I CROSSFIT BECAUSE...
It is challenging every day. Even after doing it for many years it doesn't get easier and I fell so accomplished after completing a WOD. I have been CrossFitting 4.5 years.
I COACH BECAUSE...
I love helping others reach their goals. There is no better feeling than helping someone get better at a movement and seeing them reach a personal record or accomplish a skill they never thought they would be able to do.
MY FAVORITE MOVEMENTS ARE...
Snatch and ring muscle ups. I love both movements because you have to make a full commitment with the movement to be a success. If I hesitate with either movement I won't catch the weight or catch myself on top of the rings.
MY WEAKEST MOVEMENTS ARE...
Pushups, burpees, running; basically anything cardio. :)

I coach olympic lifting at the gym and have a L1 certificate from Burgener Strength. The Live Active Barbell Club has 3 weightlifting sessions throughout the year where participants focus on one of the olympic lifts. The program is designed for all skill levels of weightlifters. We spend time breaking down each aspect of the movements and I love it when someone gets that AHA moment during a session. It all finally clicks and then they are able to build upon their new skill.
CrossFit has changed my life...
I am very fortunate to have found our gym. We have an amazing community that supports each other and encourages growth. When people come to the gym, problems are left outside of the door and everyone is there for the best hour of their day. I refer to the gym as the fountain of youth. Every year I'm getting fitter, healthier and accomplishing more goals. The best part about it is my best friends at the gym are doing it with me.
